My New Bike
Give or take a few subtle design differences, the above photo basically looks like the new member of the Pizza Corner Diaries. Yesterday I purchased myself a 1970's Raleigh "Twenty" foldable bike. While I haven't come up with a name yet (please offer suggestions... I'm leaning towards Rupert), I've quickly become completely enamoured. I'm now accepting all invitations to bike rides. Please don't hit me with your cars.

I would name this bike Murdock.
Nope.
It looks like a Dooley to me.
The traditional Irish name Dooley means "Dark Hero".
Not bad... but I feel it needs something more masculine (not that "Dark Hero" ain't).
Wilbur?
How is it that you find the names Rupert and Wilbur to be so masculine?
How about Renaldo? Osgood? Wentworth?
Rubur? Wilpert?
Nah, nevermind.
Duayne?
i vote for amos
Duayne? Maybe these lack of masculine names you are coming up with is why I dreamt last night that you were dating a guy from Boston.
Max. Luther. Jackson. Randolph. Roderick. Dylan. Clint. Mason. Bikey McBikerson.
I mean, Duayne with a "u" even? Sigh.
Who's dating a guy from Boston? Me? Is he named Duayne?
Cool.
Oh wait. I'm married already. Shit.
a new vote: FENWICK
The Duke of Bikington.
Okay, all 6 of my regular readers have chimed in with their opinions:

I personally like Ike ("Ike the bike"!) and Axl (symbolic, and she wasn't even trying).
Whatever with the Duayne. I'll just get my own bike and name it Duayne. Of course, it would be a pansy bike so I suppose that's appropriate.
That was confusing. I thought pizza diarist suggested Duayne. Hmm. As an after thought, Duayne doesn't seen quite as bad for the name of a gir's bike. It sounds like the gay best friend you might have had as a kid, which is kind of the same relationship you might have with a bike. But I really feel that no guy should name his bike Duayne. Because it's too much like the gay boyfriend he had as a kid.
Then maybe I should call it Anthony.
Few other options:
Jesus (pronounced "Hey-Zeus!")
Rudyard Kipling
Foldy McFolderson
Blandy, little did you know that I really am pizza diarist. When I get bored, I post as a 36-year old american woman.
Still, I'll post pictures of Duayne when I get him.
